The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford is set to welcome two new retailers as Pret A Manger and Warren James sign leases for units within the bustling complex. The arrival of these brands will not only enhance the shopping experience but also create a total of 16 new job opportunities for the local community.

As the year progresses, The Broadway has been successful in securing multiple new leases, with an aim to continue driving negotiations and attracting further retailers to its portfolio before the year’s end. This proactive approach reflects The Broadway’s commitment to offering a diverse range of options to its discerning customers.

Ian Ward, the general manager at The Broadway, expressed his delight at the new signings, saying, “As summer approaches, I’m delighted to be announcing that two new brands have signed leases that will be open by the autumn. Notably, The Broadway is continuing to attract new retailers to the city as we welcome Pret A Manger to Bradford. Ensuring that The Broadway brings fresh and exciting retailers to the city is a huge priority as the city gears up for the City of Culture 2025. With transformational plans underway all over the city, now is the time for Bradford to step up and really showcase what a dynamic city it is.”

Pret A Manger, renowned for its freshly prepared food and organic coffee, will occupy a spacious 2529 sq ft unit located at the corner of Charles Street and Market Street. The new Pret A Manger shop is scheduled to open its doors in July, offering customers a delightful menu of delectable food options along with a wide range of organic coffee and teas. Additionally, the shop will introduce Pret’s award-winning Club Pret subscription, enabling customers to enjoy up to five drinks per day and receive a 10% discount on the entire menu. The opening of this new branch will generate six employment opportunities, providing a boost to the local job market.

Guy Meakin, the UK Shops & Franchise Director at Pret A Manger, expressed his enthusiasm about expanding the company’s reach, stating, “Our aim at Pret is to bring our freshly made food and organic coffee to even more people around the country. That’s why we’re delighted to be bringing Pret to Bradford with our partner, Exultant Group. We look forward to welcoming customers to the new shop at The Broadway this summer, where they will be able to enjoy our newly expanded Club Pret subscription.”

Meanwhile, Warren James, a renowned retailer specialising in jewellery, will set up shop in a 931 sq ft unit located in the Charles Street Mall. This expansion will result in the creation of 10 job opportunities, further boosting employment prospects within the area.
