In a commanding display at The Citadel, Farsley Celtic clinched a comfortable three points with a 3-1 triumph over bottom-of-the-league Bishop’s Stortford.

The Celts asserted their dominance early on, as Rudy Misambo narrowly missed a header in the opening minutes. The breakthrough came swiftly when Noah Wadsworth netted an impressive strike into the bottom corner, granting Farsley the lead.

Clayton Donaldson threatened with a close-range header, skillfully tipped over the bar by the visiting goalkeeper. Just before halftime, Chris Atkinson extended the Celts’ lead to 2-0 with a remarkable low strike from approximately 35 yards that found the bottom corner.

The second half unfolded as a quieter and scrappier affair, yet Farsley gradually asserted control. Ben Atkinson capitalized on a well-crafted move involving Donaldson and Coulson to make it 3-0.

Although Lebanon made a crucial one-on-one save for Farsley, the Celts could have further padded their lead, with Wadsworth and Allan both striking the woodwork.

In injury time, a midfield giveaway by the Celts allowed the visitors to secure a consolation goal.

Looking ahead, Farsley Celtic will be on the road next week, facing the top-of-the-table Tamworth.
