A Mirfield man, Peter Gray, aged 35, residing at Calder View, Mirfield, has been handed a 56-month prison sentence after confessing to defrauding four women. The sentencing took place at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, 29 February, where Gray was found guilty of four counts of fraud by false representation. Restraining orders were also imposed on him concerning the victims involved.

Gray’s charges stem from his deceptive loan applications under the names of the victims. In total, he managed to defraud the victims, amassing an approximate sum of £80,000.

Detective Constable Jess Hird, representing Kirklees District CID, commented, “Gray has exploited multiple victims for his own financial gain. It is fitting that he is now incarcerated for the offences he committed. I implore anyone suspecting fraudulent use of their details to report it promptly. We are committed to taking decisive action against individuals like Gray who engage in fraudulent activities.”
