A 32-year-old man, Ibrahim Albashir, without a fixed abode, has been accused of the attempted murder of a woman in Leeds. Alongside this charge, he also faces accusations of possession of an offensive weapon in a public setting. He was held in custody and appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 19th March.

The charges stem from an incident on Sunday night, 17th March, on Otley Road, Headingley, where a woman in her 30s was reportedly assaulted by a man wielding a broken glass bottle.
