Police are seeking information from the public in connection with a significant road collision that occurred on Horsforth New Road near Rodley. The incident involved a Vauxhall Vivaro van and a Toyota Auris on the A6120 Ring Road between Calverley and Rodley, unfolding at approximately 4:55 pm on Monday, February 12.

The collision transpired when the northbound Vauxhall Vivaro and the oncoming Toyota Auris collided head-on. Police are particularly keen to speak with individuals who witnessed the incident.

Tragically, a four-month-old infant in the Toyota sustained life-threatening injuries during the collision and was promptly transported to the hospital. As of today, the baby continues to receive medical care. Additionally, two women from the Toyota and a man from the Vivaro were also admitted to the hospital.

The male driver of the Vivaro has been apprehended on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving. In response to the incident, a complete road closure was implemented at the scene while emergency services attended to the situation.
