In the early hours of Saturday morning (17 February), a shocking incident unfolded in Wakefield, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old man. The police were alerted at 12:27 am to Eastmoor Road, where a 40-year-old man had fallen victim to a serious assault.

According to reports, the assailant, accompanied by an accomplice, pursued the victim before launching the attack, wielding a machete in the process. The victim, now identified as a 40-year-old male, was promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, although sustaining serious injuries, his condition is deemed non-life-threatening.
