Police probing a tragic road traffic incident in Wakefield, which resulted in the demise of a Kirklees woman, have officially released her identity and photograph.

The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team remains actively engaged in scrutinizing the circumstances surrounding the incident that unfolded on Denby Dale Road during the evening of Wednesday, January 17. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Leah Senior from Huddersfield, succumbed to injuries sustained after falling from a moving white Transit van.

In connection with the incident, a 25-year-old man from Kirklees was apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving offences. Currently out on bail, the individual awaits further investigation.

Authorities are urging individuals who were in the vicinity of Denby Dale Road and Hollin Lane between 8:20 and 8:40 pm on the specified date to come forward if they witnessed the incident or possess any footage.
