In the wake of an unsettling incident in Calderdale, two individuals have been charged and brought before Leeds Magistrates Court for their alleged involvement in an occurrence that necessitated the disposal of a suspicious object.

Paul Bruveris, a 46-year-old resident of Dene View in Luddendenfoot, and Rochelle Morrisson, aged 37, residing on Natty Lane in Illingworth, now face charges under the Explosive Substances Act in connection to the incident.

During their court appearance yesterday (1 January), both Bruveris and Morrisson were remanded into custody pending further legal proceedings.

The charges stem from an incident in Illingworth over the past weekend, which prompted the closure of roads and the temporary evacuation of certain properties as authorities dealt with the potentially hazardous situation.
