In a recent ruling at Bradford Crown Court, Kyle Butters has been handed a prison sentence for his involvement in a burglary that prompted the evacuation of residents in Bradford. The incident occurred on April 12 last year, and Butters pleaded guilty to the offence.

The burglary unfolded at City Exchange, where culprits cut through a cable, causing significant damage to the building’s power supply. The severity of the situation led the fire service to issue a prohibition notice, mandating the immediate evacuation of approximately 200 residents from the apartment block.

The Bradford District Crime Team conducted a thorough investigation, revealing that footage capturing the criminal act had been circulated on social media platforms. Authorities successfully traced the origin of the footage back to Kyle Butters, a 20-year-old resident of Tees Street.

As a consequence, Butters was sentenced to two and a half years in prison during the court hearing held on Friday. The incident highlights the disruptive and dangerous consequences of criminal activities, prompting swift and decisive legal action.
