A brand-new trailer and images have been unveiled for the highly anticipated second series of The Tourist, featuring the return of BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated Jamie Dornan (Belfast, The Fall) and Danielle Macdonald (Unbelievable, Dumplin’). The six-part thriller, created and written by Harry and Jack Williams and produced by the award-winning Two Brothers Pictures, is set against the picturesque backdrop of Ireland.

The upcoming series unfolds with Elliot and Helen becoming entangled in a long-standing feud, grappling with the consequences of Elliot’s past actions. As Elliot mysteriously disappears, Helen turns to Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill, Industry, The Fall) for assistance, leading to the revelation of secrets from Elliot’s past.

Series two introduces a host of new characters, showcased in recently released images alongside Detective Ruairi Slater, such as Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Northman) and the McDonnell family – Donal (Diarmaid Murtagh, Vikings, Outlander), Orla (Nessa Matthews, Fair City), Fergal (Mark McKenna, Sing Street, One of Us is Lying), and Frank (Francis Magee, Kin, Then You Run). The images also highlight Monsieur Tioté (Réginal-Roland Kudiwu, Crime, The Widow, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).

Internationally, the show’s first series achieved sales across five continents, reaching audiences from South Korea to Scandinavia. The series received recognition at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, securing three Golden Nymph Awards, including the prestigious Best Series accolade.
