Police in Kirklees are seeking information in connection with the robbery of an 11-year-old boy.

The incident occurred while the victim was in the company of a friend near Birkenshaw Park between 9:15 pm and 9:45 pm on Saturday, 18 November. During this time, two males approached the victim, with one of them brandishing a knife. The victim was subsequently threatened and kicked in the leg, after which the two suspects fled the scene with his phone and bag.

The initial suspect is described as a 17-year-old white male, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, and of a slender build. He was dressed in a black jacket with the hood up and grey/orange trousers.

The second suspect is also described as a white male, around 5ft 4ins tall, and of a slender build. He was wearing a black North Face jacket with the hood up and black trousers.

Anyone who witnessed two individuals matching the descriptions of the suspects in the vicinity or possesses information about those responsible is urged to come forward.
