The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, the largest weekend food festival in the UK, has announced its expansion for the 2024 event, incorporating chart-topping music acts into its already impressive lineup of celebrity chefs. The festival is scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 21st of July 2024 at Funkirk Farm, Skipton.
This family-run festival is elevating its musical offerings to present attendees with a weekend filled with outstanding bands and artists, including Blue, Chesney Hawkes, The Real Thing, and Heather Small.
Now in its 9th year, the festival is set to welcome back celebrity chefs James Martin and The Hairy Bikers to the Le Gruyere Big Top Theatre Kitchen. The event will also feature a diverse range of food, drink, and entertainment, including 300 street food traders, artisan producers, chef demonstrations, and activities for children.
Returning music acts from 2023, such as Brutus Gold’s Love Train and Gok Wan, who captivated the festival field with his uplifting disco DJ set, are set to recreate the lively atmosphere under the stars.
In addition to the music lineup, the festival will showcase fantastic tribute acts like The Dolly Show, an impressive Dolly Parton Experience, as well as performances paying homage to Becky Hill, Taylor Swift, and Pink, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Tickets for the festival are now available at yorkshiredalesfoodanddrinkfestival.com. The event maintains its family-friendly and value-for-money ethos, offering a family of four weekend ticket, including camping, starting at £278 (+fees), with free admission for children under 7. Dogs are also welcome.
The festival promises a jam-packed schedule with over 50 different workshops, experiences, and masterclasses, many of which are free. Attendees can participate in kids’ activities, enjoy performances by local music artists, and witness over 50 demonstrations from leading and Michelin chefs from the region. The expansive 1,000-acre site provides options for camping, glamping, and caravan or motorhome pitches, allowing guests to stay onsite and make the most of the entire weekend.
Rachael Higgins, founder of The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, says: “This will be the first time in our history that we have introduced chart-topping, musical talent to our festival line-up together with our celebrity chefs, tribute acts and DJ’s. I can’t tell you how excited I am for next summer. It will be our biggest and no doubt best festival yet and we’re all so looking forward to seeing everyone enjoying themselves and having a great time. We want our guests to come for the food, stay for the music and leave with the best memories.”
