Police are seeking information to locate an individual who failed to attend court following charges related to random attacks on members of the public in Leeds city centre.
Hardeep Garcha, 32 years old, hailing from Bradford, has been sought since his non-appearance at Leeds Magistrates Court on July 10 of this year.
He faces charges of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, Section 47 actual bodily harm, and a racially aggravated public order offence. These charges stem from incidents in Heaton’s Court and Leeds train station on November 11 last year, resulting in one man sustaining a broken jaw and another severe bruising.
Despite extensive inquiries by officers, Garcha’s whereabouts remain unknown. He is known to have connections in Bradford, and information indicates that he may have recently resided in Sheffield.
Anyone with knowledge of Garcha’s whereabouts or information that could aid in locating him is urged to contact Sgt 4455 Merritt at Pudsey Police Station via 101, quoting crime reference 13220624692. Alternatively, information can be provided online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat.
