The police in Bradford are seeking witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident involving a pedestrian.

The Major Collision and Enquiry Team (MCET) is eager to talk to anyone who witnessed or has video footage of the incident. It occurred at approximately 4.37pm on Hamm Strasse, near the junction with Manningham Lane in Bradford, on Saturday, November 4.

The incident involved a collision between a blue BMW 320D M sport and a 22-year-old female pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she sadly passed away shortly thereafter.

Road closures were implemented in the vicinity for the duration of the collision investigation at the scene.

The male driver of the BMW was apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Detective Sergeant Mick Kilburn, of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team, said; “We are continuing to investigate this very serious collision in which a young woman has tragically lost her life.

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the collision, or the BMW just prior to it.”
