Lagging, the high-energy visual comedy centred around teamwork, friendship, and gaming, produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions and filmed in and around Glasgow, is set to return to TV screens for its third series starting on Monday at 6:00 pm on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.

In this new series, the lively and humorous young gamers of Team SMoRCLeWA discover fresh characters, explore new levels, and unveil special moves. They encounter unexpected power-ups and handle epic fails, both in the game and in real life. The message remains clear: the team that plays together stays together!

Returning to the screen are gamers and best friends Sol (Yoni Bronks), Leah (Sienna Clarke), and Mo (Isaac Khan), joined by new cast members Ashwin Sakhtivel, who plays rulemaster Arul, and Ivy Wong, who brings chaos to the gaming world as Wei.

Special guests include CBBC’s celebrity chef Omari McQueen and Saturday Mash Up presenter and YouTube sensation Joe Tasker.

The series promises big laughs, epic wins, and disastrous fails, with adventures ranging from Zombie House parties and karaoke sing-offs to Escape Rooms and encounters with competitive Grandmas!

Cecilia Persson, Managing Director Kids & Family Productions at BBC Studios, says: “We are delighted to be producing the third series of Lagging and welcoming some fresh faces to the cast. Viewers will see our gamers conquer the gaming world whilst navigating real life situations but still having lots of fun along the way.”

Lagging, an 8-episode series with 25-minute episodes, is produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions. The Executive Producers are Jon Rolph and Dan Berlinka, with Tali Walters serving as the Creative Lead.

The series was created by BAFTA-winning writer Dan Berlinka, who collaborates with Michelle Membu-Philip, Tasha Dhanraj, Mark Oswin, Jon Macqueen, and Nathan D’Arcy Roberts. It was commissioned by Sarah Muller, Senior Head of Commissioning 7+ at BBC.
