The police in Keighley are seeking witnesses following a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, an 83-year-old woman, was crossing the road at the junction of Park Lane and Long Lee Lane at approximately 11:14 am yesterday (Tuesday) when she collided with a white Rover 418 car travelling up Park Lane, away from Keighley town centre. The woman sustained serious injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the car has already been interviewed.

Individuals who may have witnessed the collision, or observed the movements of the pedestrian or vehicle leading up to it, are urged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or make use of the 101 live chat feature on the West Yorkshire Police website. Additionally, anyone in possession of relevant footage that could aid in the investigation is encouraged to reach out to the team.
