Detectives in Calderdale who are investigating the disturbances that occurred on Bonfire Night last year are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying individuals featured in the CCTV images that have been released.

On the evening of Saturday, 5 November 2022, numerous reports were received regarding large groups of youths in the area engaging in activities involving fireworks.

A comprehensive investigation has been ongoing since the disorder in the Park Ward area, leading to several arrests related to criminal damage, public order violations, and firework offences.

Officers from Calderdale District Police have, to date, made a total of 36 arrests in connection to the disturbances in Halifax in November 2022.

While detectives released images of 29 individuals last month, seven have since been identified. However, there remains an appeal for the public’s help in identifying the remaining males depicted in the CCTV images.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox, of Calderdale District Police, said; “We want to thank those who have come forward and spoken to officers and provided information which has assisted with our investigation so far.

“We are continuing to investigate and ask that if anyone does recognise any of those pictured in the CCTV images below, to get in touch with us directly. Alternatively, you can always provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers on the number below.

“We will continue to work alongside partners to help our communities feel safe and we need our communities to support our investigation with any information they may have.”
