The award-winning family favourite, Dodger, which has won BAFTA and RTS awards, is returning with an action-packed special set to be aired during the festive season on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and CBBC.
Penned by the acclaimed Rhys Thomas and Lucy Montgomery, the 55-minute special, titled ‘Coronation’, will witness Fagin and the gang attempting their grandest heist yet – to seize Queen Victoria’s crown from her Coronation ceremony.
Christopher Eccleston is reprising his role as Fagin, and he will be joined by beloved cast members Billy Jenkins (Dodger), Ellie-May Sheridan (Polly), Connor Curren (Tom), Mila Lieu (Tang), BAFTA-winner Lenny Rush (Morgan), Javone Prince (PC Blathers), Tony Way (Jon The News), and Ed Kear (Neville). Rhys Thomas and Lucy Montgomery will also be returning to portray PC Duff and Minnie Bilge, respectively.
Special guest stars and renowned figures from the realms of comedy and drama include Simon Callow (The Archbishop of Canterbury), Nicola Coughlan (Queen Victoria), Toby Stephens (US President Martin Van Buren), Paul Whitehouse (Royston, Chief of the Yeoman Guard), Dan Renton Skinner (Maurice The Beefeater), and Alex Macqueen (John Bridge, The Crown Jeweller).
