Detectives in Leeds have initiated a murder inquiry following the passing of a woman.

On Wednesday, 25th October, at 5:15 pm, the police received a call from the ambulance service regarding a woman receiving emergency care at an address in Oatland Court, Leeds.

Tragically, the 43-year-old woman was discovered to have sustained multiple injuries and was declared deceased at the scene shortly thereafter.

Efforts are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her injuries, and a 58-year-old man is currently in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle, heading the investigation, stated:

“We would like to speak with anyone who observed any suspicious activity around Oatland Court between 5:30 am and 5:15 pm on Wednesday, 25th October.

“We are treating this as an isolated incident and, at this time, there is no search for any additional individuals connected to the case.”
