Olympic Champion and Presenter Greg Rutherford MBE has been confirmed as the fifth celebrity participant in the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.

Making the announcement exclusively on Good Morning Britain, Greg mentioned, “My kids love dancing around so hopefully they are going to enjoy watching me dance with blades on my feet! I think this is going to be a really different experience but one that will be quite exciting. I like a challenge and I needed a reason to go out and do stuff again and here we are. I want to perform something that’s never been done before, that’s my aim. I’ll go 100,000% on this. I’ll try hard, I’m in no way expecting to be good but I will work as hard as I can.”

Greg is the fifth celebrity to join the line-up, alongside previously announced World Champion Boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, actress Claire Sweeney, actress and singer Hannah Spearritt, and West End star Amber Davies.

Dancing on Ice, produced by Lifted Entertainment, will return to ITV1, STV, and ITVX in 2024 with a fresh ensemble. Twelve celebrities will prepare for the ultimate challenge, gliding on ice live each week in a bid to impress both the panel and viewers at home.

In this sparkling new series, the premier ice show promises even more glitz, glamour, and show-stopping performances as the celebrities face the daunting task of mastering this perilous discipline. The question remains: who possesses the necessary skills and determination to hoist the coveted trophy at the end of the series?
