ITV1 and ITVX have announced the return of the much-loved romance series, “My Mum, Your Dad,” for a second series in 2024. Casting is currently in progress and open for applicants.
Produced by Lifted Entertainment, a division of ITV Studios, this immensely popular series features adult children nominating their single parents to embark on a luxurious countryside getaway in search of love later in life.
Praised by critics as “heartwarming,” “hilarious,” and possessing “intergenerational appeal,” the inaugural series became ITV’s most successful new peak-time entertainment format, garnering an average viewership of over 2 million across all devices*. Hosted by Davina McCall, the first series consistently ranked as the top streamed programme on ITVX.
Once again, the adult children will convene in the surveillance room, affectionately named the ‘Bunker,’ where they hold the fate of their single parents in their hands as they pursue romantic connections at the retreat. This time around, viewers can expect some fresh twists as they closely observe their parents’ efforts to forge romantic bonds. Ultimately, they will have the final say in approving any potential matches.
