The NHS England Healthcare Support Worker Programme 2023 Awards were marked by a night of jubilant festivities, with the Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust’s Healthcare Academy clinching the accolade for Excellence in Ongoing Learning and Development. This recognition was bestowed upon them in acknowledgement of their unwavering commitment to perpetual learning and groundbreaking approaches in shaping the future of healthcare professionals.
Under the stewardship of the Trust’s Professional Development and Education Unit (PDEU), the Healthcare Academy plays a pivotal role in furnishing indispensable training, nurturing growth, and offering support to Healthcare Assistants within the Trust. This empowers them to hone their skills, acquire knowledge, and bolster their confidence before transitioning to hospital wards to provide care for patients.
