A man is scheduled to make a court appearance following charges of exposure in connection with an incident that took place in Roundhay Park, Leeds, earlier this week.
Paul Brister, 44 years old, residing at Kentmere Crescent, Seacroft, has been accused in relation to an incident that was reported by a woman on Monday afternoon.
He is set to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today.
The Leeds District Safeguarding Unit officers are currently conducting investigations into several similar previous incidents in the park.
A proactive operation aimed at addressing exposure incidents in the area has been ongoing throughout the year to address the concerns of residents and park users, particularly women and girls.
This involves heightened patrols by both uniformed and plainclothes officers, in addition to various other strategies like the utilization of drones and electric bikes.
The initiative, which is endorsed by the city’s community safety partnership, Safer Leeds, and the local authority, will continue to be in effect to discourage and apprehend any further offences and to maintain the park’s safety.
