The police in Leeds are seeking witnesses or video footage following a serious road traffic accident. The incident occurred on the A6110 ring road in Beeston, at the junction with Elland Road, at 2:30 pm yesterday (17/10).

A grey Audi A6 was heading from the ring road towards Elland Road when it collided with a black VW Golf, which was travelling away from Junction 1 of the M621.

A third vehicle, a black Nissan 370Z, also heading away from Junction 1 of the M621, did not stop and fled the scene of the collision.

The driver of the Audi, a man in his 70s, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The passenger, a woman of a similar age, sustained life-altering injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Officers from the roads policing unit are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the collision or observed the manner in which the VW Golf and Nissan 370Z were driving before the incident.
