The police in Leeds are seeking witnesses to a collision that resulted in the tragic death of a man.

They are eager to talk to anyone who observed an incident involving a white and yellow Ford Transit and a maroon Skoda Octavia. This occurred on the A660 Leeds Road, between the A660 roundabout and Old Pool Bank in Pool in Wharfedale, around 3:10 pm on Friday, 27th October.

While the collision caused minor damage to both vehicles, which were travelling in the same direction, the 62-year-old male driver of the Octavia fell unwell shortly after the incident. Sadly, he passed away in hospital.

Those who saw the collision or the movements of either vehicle leading up to it are urged to contact PC 4535 Palmer at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, or through the 101 chat service on the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting reference 13230597673.

Furthermore, anyone possessing dashcam footage that could aid in further investigations into this incident is also requested to come forward.
