West Yorkshire Police are seeking witnesses in connection with a tragic road traffic incident in Calderdale.
The incident occurred around 12:30 am today (Monday) when a black Mini One, heading towards Sowerby Bridge on the A58 Rochdale Road, veered off the road and collided with a wall near the junction with Lower Brockwell Lane.
Regrettably, the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his thirties, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team is currently looking into the incident. They urge anyone who may have witnessed it or observed the vehicle’s movements just prior to the collision to get in touch. This can be done by dialling 101 or by using the live chat feature on the West Yorkshire Police website.
