Police in Calderdale are conducting an investigation into a tragic road traffic accident.
They have now disclosed information about the deceased individual.
The deceased has been identified as William Gradon, a 31-year-old resident of the Halifax area. He was the sole occupant and driver of a black Mini One that collided with a wall near the junction with Lower Brockwell Lane in Sowerby Bridge.
This incident occurred on the A58 Rochdale Road at approximately 12:30 am yesterday (Monday). Unfortunately, Mr. Gradon was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team is actively looking into the circumstances of the collision. They are seeking to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the event or observed the vehicle’s movements just before the collision.
