West Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a tragic road traffic incident in Cleckheaton on the 26th of September.

The collision occurred at approximately 5pm on Westgate, A643, at the intersection of Westcliffe Road. It involved a black Nissan Navara towing a trailer, carrying a white 4×4 vehicle. The Navara collided with a woman who was using a mobility scooter.

The mobility scooter rider, a woman in her 60s, was transported to the hospital where, regrettably, she passed away.

The driver of the Nissan Navara remained present at the scene and is cooperating with the police in their inquiry.
