West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing officers are appealing for witnesses in the wake of a grave road traffic collision that occurred in Wakefield, resulting in severe injuries to a male cyclist.

The incident transpired shortly past 4:55 pm on the 3rd of September and involved an electric-powered bicycle colliding with a lamppost situated on a footpath along the A6194 Neil Fox Way in Wakefield. No other vehicles were implicated in the collision.

The injured gentleman, aged in his 60s, was promptly transported to the hospital due to the serious head injuries sustained.
