Hosts Rav Wilding and Michelle Ackerley are set to make a return this autumn, aiding the efforts of crimefighters in solving some of the UK’s most perplexing unsolved cases on Monday, 2nd October.
Broadcasting live over a span of three weeks, every fresh episode will showcase a reconstruction appeal film, ‘Wanted Faces’, and shed light on the dedicated teams tirelessly working to bring criminals to justice.
Covering a range of cases from high-profile murders, and robberies to assaults, the series will zero in on recent nationwide crimes, as well as provide updates on cases that have been featured in both the current and previous series.
Crimewatch Live will once again implore viewers to assist the police in cracking dozens of cases. In the past year, our appeals have yielded significant breakthroughs in numerous cases, leading to arrests and charges.
Viewers can get in touch with the show by dialling 08000 468 999, with the phone lines remaining open until 12:30 pm on the morning of the programme.
The series will also be accessible for viewing on BBC iPlayer for a duration of 7 days following its broadcast.
Rav comments, “I’m really looking forward to another series of Crimewatch Live and working not only with Police and other law enforcement agencies but also the biggest crime-fighting team anyone could wish for, which is, of course, the amazing audience to try and solve a huge variety of serious crimes”
Crimewatch Live was commissioned by Julie Shaw, BBC Factual Commissioner.
The series is produced by BBC Studios Documentary Unit, with Michelle Cox serving as the Executive Producer.
