How can we all enhance our intimate experiences? Well, presenter Vogue Williams and comedian Joanne McNally are set to embark on a journey to find out.

Women are constantly inundated with advice on how to lead their most fulfilling lives. To be exact, 20,000 messages a day. We’re instructed on how to live a ‘well’ life, eat cleanly, love ourselves, become a paragon of sensuality, manifest our aspirations, and even transform our intimate moments into scented rituals. It’s quite a lot to take in. Presenter Vogue Williams (who undoubtedly contributes to some of these messages) and her companion, comedian Joanne McNally (who is certainly a follower of such accounts), are embarking on a girls’ trip to Ibiza. Their mission? To ascertain where they stand on the spectrum of sexuality. Are they as open-minded as they believe, or do they tend towards a more conservative approach in matters of intimacy?

Renowned for their uproarious podcast, ‘My Therapist Ghosted Me’, listened to by millions each week, these best friends are swapping their trusty podcast microphones for two plane tickets to Ibiza. They are on a mission for a revelatory and empowering experience, with the aim of delving into their own sexuality and discovering the true path to living their best lives.

In this unique programme produced by Rumpus Media, ‘Sex Drive’, Vogue and Joanne will encounter and immerse themselves in communities and individuals who are challenging the norms of conventional intimacy. This is not a tawdry exploration of cliché swingers, but rather a journey of embracing a positive attitude towards sexuality and the body, seen through the eyes of unreserved best friends. It’s a lively, candid, and amusing road trip that tackles the realms of sensuality, spirituality, and well-being in a completely innovative and uproarious manner. Is it akin to the Gwyneth Paltrow approach – parading around with her impeccably toned stomach, advising us on various intimate practices, advocating the use of jade eggs, all while a stranger fans the air until they reach climax? Is this the standard British approach to a sensual encounter? Should it be?

From engaging in holistic practices for their intimate well-being in a field to a wild night out at an erotic nightclub in the heart of Ibiza’s West End, we’ll track every step of their journey as they strive to reach a higher level of both sexual and spiritual enlightenment while confronting their own inhibitions.

But will Joanne and Vogue emerge as transformed individuals? Will they uncover novel insights about their own bodies that could enrich their personal intimate experiences? Or will they depart the island with more questions than when they arrived?

Vogue Williams said: “I loved Ibiza, getting spanked by Joanne was certainly a highlight. I feel like we really took our friendship to the next level on this trip.”

Joanne McNally said: “I had an absolute ball in Ibiza and I can’t wait for people to see how liberated I now am and what a frigid Vogue is”

Commissioning Editor, Genna Gibson said: “Lifelong friends Vogue and Joanne are the perfect duo to lead this entertaining exploration of female empowerment and sex positivity. Equipped with their unique sense of humour and their shared natural curiosity for the topic, I’m really looking forward to finding out whether they’ll both be feeling the love by the end…”
