Bradford (Park Avenue) has officially welcomed Gerry Sutcliffe to their Board of Directors, a move that has received confirmation from Companies House. Additionally, Gerry has graciously agreed to take a seat on the board of the affiliated charity, The Horsfall Community Trust.

Gerry Sutcliffe is a familiar figure to many, particularly for those in Bradford, having served as the MP for Bradford South for over two decades and holding the esteemed position of former Minister of Sport and Tourism. He received his education locally at Cardinal Hinsley and Bradford College, and at one point, he led Bradford Council.

Having been a devoted supporter of the football club since his early years, Gerry remains a passionate advocate for the advancement of sports in South Bradford. The Board is thrilled to have him represent the club within the local community, filling a previously vacant aspect of governance.

Upon assuming his role on the Board of Directors for Bradford Park Avenue and taking up a trustee position in the stadium trust, Gerry Sutcliffe said; “I’m delighted and proud to be asked to join the board by Gareth Roberts and his colleagues. As a child, BPA played a big part in my life helping me make lifelong friendships and today I enjoy playing walking football at Horsfall. I share Gareth’s vision for the club and stadium and will use my experience to turn it into a reality.”
