Renowned culinary expert Prue Leith is set to introduce an exciting new cooking series entitled “Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen” on both ITV1 and ITVX in February 2024.
Filmed within the charming confines of her own Cotswolds residence, this esteemed figure will take the opportunity to both revel in and prepare a selection of her personal favourite recipes. Going beyond the typical cooking show format, Prue will team up with her trusted partner and spouse, John, to divulge their most valued kitchen tricks and culinary time-savers, aimed at streamlining the cooking experience.
This ten-part program will treat audiences to a diverse array of dishes, spanning from effortlessly crafted mid-week repasts to sophisticated dinner party fare, and even encompassing delightful yet uncomplicated desserts that are undeniably worth the indulgence.
In Prue’s own words, the show will encapsulate a ‘simply delightful adventure’ through a collection of recipes she has accumulated over six decades in the gastronomic realm. Expect a sprinkle of captivating anecdotes delivered in Prue’s distinct narrative style.
In tandem, John will generously share nuggets of wisdom gleaned from their years of rural existence – ranging from expert guidance on cultivating and harvesting one’s own fruits and vegetables to mastering the art of concocting an awe-inspiring gin martini.
Every episode will feature Prue welcoming a special guest into her homey kitchen, collaborating to prepare and share their cherished personal recipes. As they gather around the family table to relish their culinary creations, they will engage in insightful discussions on pertinent everyday topics that resonate with them.
Moreover, Prue will spotlight a remarkable ensemble of Food Heroes throughout the series; enterprising individuals based in the Cotswolds and across the UK, crafting delectable products that she will seamlessly incorporate into an array of tantalising dishes for her and John to savour.
Leanne Clarke, spearheading the endeavor on behalf of ITV Entertainment, has commissioned the show. The accomplished independent production company Yeti will oversee its production. With Siân Price and Sarah Stevenson at the helm as executive producers, and Sara Allen holding the role of Series Producer & Director, “Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen” is poised to not only ignite the passion of novices but also captivate even the most hesitant of cooks.
