Nikita Kanda has been announced as the ninth celebrity participant to grace the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing, the immensely popular entertainment show crafted by BBC Studios. As the show makes its grand return to both BBC One and BBC iPlayer this autumn, viewers can once again anticipate a dazzling spectacle of dance, glamour, and entertainment from the comfort of their homes.
A well-known radio host and television presenter, Nikita Kanda has gained prominence as the vibrant host of BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show. She previously helmed the Saturday afternoon show, boasting an impressive roster of interviews including renowned figures such as Sandra Oh from Killing Eve, Kate Sharma and Charithra Chandran of Bridgerton fame, Marvel sensation Awkwafina, and global pop icon Nick Jonas. Notably recognised as a nominee for Presenter of the Year at the Asian Media Awards, Nikita has also been at the forefront of regular features on BBC One’s The One Show, delving into subjects ranging from the ascent of cashless enterprises to government backing for women’s sports.
