West Yorkshire Police are seeking the cooperation of individuals who might have information regarding a significant multiple-vehicle incident that occurred in the Fenay Bridge vicinity of Huddersfield.

The Roads Policing Unit responsible for the Western Area is interested in connecting with anyone who might have witnessed or possesses visual recordings of the incident involving three automobiles adjacent to Harvey’s Bar and Kitchen on Penistone Road in Huddersfield. This event transpired on the evening of Friday, August 11, at 8.50pm.

The collision entailed a black Volkswagen Golf and several other vehicles, causing substantial damage upon impact. Among the individuals involved, the operator and passenger of one of the vehicles sustained noteworthy yet non-life-threatening injuries, subsequently receiving medical attention at a hospital. Other occupants of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.

It has been determined that the black VW Golf had evaded a police stop attempt in the Shelley area approximately five minutes prior to the collision. Law enforcement officers were in the initial stages of pursuing the vehicle when the collision unfolded.

The 20-year-old male driver of the Golf was transported to hospital subsequent to the collision and has since been released. He was apprehended on suspicion of engaging in hazardous driving behaviour and is presently under police custody for further questioning.
