West Yorkshire Police are making a renewed plea for assistance in locating a Liversedge resident who has gone missing, as apprehension for his well-being increases.

The Kirklees CID is actively seeking the cooperation of individuals who might have sighted or possess any information regarding the disappearance of Martin Sales.

Martin Sales, 40 years old, was officially reported as missing just before 11 pm on Wednesday, 2 August. Nonetheless, it is suspected that he was present at his residence in Liversedge around 9:30 am on that same day.

Martin, known for his penchant for hiking, frequently visiting locations such as the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Hadrian’s Wall, remains absent. He is described as having a lean physique and standing at a height of six feet. It is also possible that he is carrying a backpack.

Police have determined that Martin is unlikely to have access to a vehicle.

Detective Inspector James Bellhouse of Kirklees CID, said: “Martin has been missing for over a week now and as time goes by, our concerns and those of his family can only grow.
