West Yorkshire Police are making an appeal for witnesses following a severe assault incident that occurred in Huddersfield. The Kirklees Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is seeking individuals who may have witnessed or possess video footage of the assault on a man along Bradley Boulevard between 2.15pm and 2.30pm on Saturday, August 12.
The incident unfolded when two suspects approached a 30-year-old man who was seated in his vehicle on Bradley Boulevard. The assailants proceeded to attack the car using a metal bar. As a result of this assault, the victim sustained injuries and hastily departed the scene, eventually stopping a black VW at the intersection of Bradley Boulevard and Long Hill Road.
Subsequently, after the suspects struck a second car with a bat, the victim fled once again. The two men responsible for the attack then departed the area in a grey Audi.
The primary suspect was identified as a white male clad in a blue shirt, grey shorts, black gloves, and carrying a black man bag across his body. The accomplice was also a white male, sporting short hair and dressed in a grey t-shirt.
The victim was promptly taken to a hospital to receive treatment for severe yet not life-threatening head injuries.
