After a tremendously successful initial run – and the survival of perpetual hellfire – the Lewis family is set to make a comeback on Channel 4 with a second series of “Everyone Else Burns.” This new instalment will reunite us with our cherished god-fearing Mancunians, immersing them in a torrent of familial discord, spousal pandemonium, and righteous upheaval.
Brought to us by Jax Media UK (a segment of Imagine Entertainment) and Universal International Studios, a branch of Universal Studio Group, the second series will track Rachel’s (Amy James-Kelly) quest for a fresh path, a rebellion that has the potential to revolutionise the entire congregation, and the resurgence of a figure from the past, capable of shaping the family’s destiny.
Tired out by the downfall of her university aspirations (and enduring 40 woeful days of ‘penance’), Rachel’s journey to self-reliance will confront novel obstacles as longstanding family enigmas resurface. In the meantime, Fiona’s (Kate O’Flynn) world will be upended as she comes face to face with an individual from her history whom she is anxiously striving to leave behind. Aaron (Harry Connor) will unleash his inner Moses against the ‘serpent’ at the helm of the Chapter, in a revolutionary attempt to haul The Order into the contemporary era. Lastly, David (Simon Bird), rather calamitously, resolves to become a ‘good Dad’. He will also grapple with an unparalleled new experience: a woman who sincerely expresses interest in him.
Can David and Fiona rekindle the flame in their matrimony? Can a 13-year-old execute an actual coup? And will Rachel manage to retain her autonomy when she is drawn into ‘courtship for marriage’ and compelled to elect a prospective husband?
