Les Dennis has been announced as the fifteenth and final celebrity contestant to participate in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, the renowned entertainment show produced by BBC Studios. The show is set to make its return to both BBC One and BBC iPlayer this autumn, promising to once again bring sparkle, elegance, and splendid dance performances to households across the country.

Renowned as a TV personality, actor, and entertainer, Les Dennis boasts a career spanning more than five decades. Notably, he held the role of host on the beloved show Family Fortunes for a remarkable 16 years.

Les Dennis embarked on his journey in the world of entertainment as a comedian within the Working Men’s Club circuit in his hometown of Liverpool. His breakthrough came through the television talent competition New Faces, which propelled him into the spotlight. Subsequently, he shone in the sketch and variety show The Laughter Show, where he formed a notable double-act with the late Dustin Gee.

His television career encompasses diverse roles, including appearances in Extras, Brookside, Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders, and a two-year stint on Coronation Street.

Beyond the screen, Les Dennis has graced the stage with his presence, performing alongside esteemed institutions like the Royal Shakespeare Company and the English National Opera. He has also taken leading roles in successful plays and musicals, such as Hairspray, Legally Blonde The Musical, and 42nd Street.
