Bradford City’s Under-19 team concluded their pre-season preparations with a dominant 3-0 triumph against Halifax Town last Saturday.
In the first half, Bradford City controlled the game comfortably, but they were unable to find the back of the net until after the break. The breakthrough came when Isaac Robinson, the lively winger, skillfully curled a left-footed shot into the top corner, giving City the lead.
City continued to push for more goals and came close when George Goodman’s header narrowly missed the target from a corner. However, their relentless efforts paid off as Gabe Wadsworth unleashed a powerful shot that was brilliantly saved by Halifax’s goalkeeper.
Shortly after, Robinson was fouled inside the box, resulting in a penalty for City. He calmly converted the spot-kick into the bottom right corner, securing his second goal of the game and giving the Bantams a commanding lead.
Substitute Bilal Hussain made a notable impact, attempting a cheeky free-kick under the wall but was denied by the goalkeeper’s strong hands. He then provided an assist for Kieran Mboma, who tapped home the rebound, sealing a convincing victory for Bradford City’s talented young side.
Overall, it was an encouraging display from Ryan Farrell’s team, showcasing their potential and determination as they head into the upcoming season.
