Angela Rippon CBE has been announced as one of the celebrity contestants for the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing. The renowned entertainment show, produced by BBC Studios, is set to make a grand return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the autumn, promising to bring back its signature sparkle, glamour, and exceptional dance performances to audiences all over the country.

With a remarkable career spanning over 50 years, Angela Rippon CBE has excelled as an award-winning journalist, TV presenter, newsreader, and author. Throughout her illustrious journey, she has hosted a diverse range of programs, covering hard news, current affairs, quiz shows, and magazine programs for various broadcasters worldwide.

Currently, Angela can be seen as the presenter of BBC’s Rip-Off Britain and regularly appears on Morning Live and The One Show. She previously hosted the original Come Dancing from 1988 to 1991 and has lent her talents to numerous shows like Top Gear, Antiques Roadshow, The Holiday Programme, Crufts, How to Stay Young, and The Truth About Dementia, among others.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions to broadcasting, charity work, and the arts, Angela Rippon received an OBE in 2004. Later, in the 2017 New Year Honours, she was appointed as Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for her exceptional services to dementia care.
