Authorities are urgently seeking witnesses after an alarming hit-and-run incident took place on Ridding Rise. The local police were notified promptly at 18:30 on Wednesday 5th July, as concerned individuals reported a distressing incident involving a black electric bicycle and a 14-year-old male pedestrian.
Shockingly, the rider of the e-bike callously failed to stop at the accident scene, displaying a complete disregard for the wellbeing of the injured pedestrian. The young victim was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals are treating him for his injuries. Although his condition is serious, it has been deemed stable at this time.
The e-bike, known to be black in colour, was last observed fleeing the scene, making its way towards Riddings Road. As the investigation continues, the police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed the e-bike prior to the collision to come forward with any relevant information. Your assistance could prove pivotal in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
