Police are urgently seeking the assistance of a Peugeot driver who might have crucial information pertaining to a severe collision involving a cyclist and another car in the town of Shipley.

Western Area Roads Policing officers continue their appeal for witnesses who could shed light on the incident that occurred on Caroline Street, Shipley, precisely at 18:49 on Monday, July 10.

Of particular interest to the authorities is the driver of a black Peugeot 206/207, which was travelling in the opposite direction to the involved cyclist around 18:45 in the evening. This motorist may have witnessed the cyclist approaching them just before the unfortunate collision.

The incident unfolded near the junction of Exhibition Road when the bicycle collided with the door of a white Dacia Duster car.

Tragically, the cyclist, described as a man in his 30s, suffered severe injuries and currently remains hospitalised in critical condition.

Fortunately, the driver of the Dacia remained at the scene to cooperate fully with the investigating officers.
