Police in Calderdale are continuing their appeal for information regarding a missing teenager. Katelan Coates, a 14-year-old girl, was reported missing from the Todmorden area on Monday evening, the 10th of July.
The most recent confirmed sighting of Katelan was at Manchester Victoria Train Station at 6:34 pm on Monday. She had arrived on the 6:09 pm train from Todmorden Train Station. It is believed that she left Manchester Victoria on foot and headed towards the city centre, passing by the Football Museum en route to Selfridges.
Katelan is described as a white female with shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a beige top, a black furry coat, black leggings, and sunglasses.
Detective Inspector Rob Stevens of Calderdale District Police said; “A significant amount of police work continues to locate Katelan who was initially with another missing girl who has now returned home safe.
“She has been missing since Monday and the longer she remains away, the more our concern for Katelan’s welfare grows, as does that of her parents who desperately want her home.
“I urge residents to please remain vigilant and keep watch for Katelan who we believe may still in the Greater Manchester area and is likely to be seen on foot or using public transport.
“Our officers are continuing to work alongside her family and we continue to ask for anyone who has seen or heard from her to get in touch to help us bring Katelan home safely.
“Anyone with information on possible sightings of Katelan or anyone who may have been in contact with her is asked to contact police without delay via 101LiveChat or by calling 101 quoting reference 1522 of 10th July.”
