In a heartbreaking development, West Yorkshire Police have informed the public that a nine-year-old girl, who sustained severe injuries in a collision in Halifax on Saturday (8 July), has tragically passed away.

The authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward, as they continue their investigation into the incident. The collision occurred shortly after 11 am on King Cross Street, near the junction with Park Road. The incident involved a black Vauxhall Corsa.

The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, identified as a 53-year-old man, was apprehended on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. However, he has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
