The UK’s leading live events business, NEC Group, has taken a significant stride forward in its commitment to providing exceptional entertainment experiences with the appointment of Darren Moore as General Manager of Bradford Live, the Group’s latest venue.

NEC Group’s impressive portfolio already includes renowned venues such as NEC Birmingham, ICC Birmingham, Vox Conference Venue, Utilita Arena Birmingham, and Resorts World Arena, along with their service brands like The Ticket Factory, Amadeus catering, and Amplify hospitality.

With his extensive venue management and event operations expertise, Darren Moore is the ideal candidate for this strategic role. Having demonstrated exemplary leadership in the entertainment industry, Darren has left an indelible mark on venues like The Bonus Arena Hull, York Barbican, and First Direct Arena Leeds, setting the stage for new heights at Bradford Live.

In his new capacity as General Manager, Darren will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue’s operations. This includes meticulous event planning, nurturing client relations, efficient staff management, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Known for his sincere dedication to creating unforgettable experiences, Darren will play a pivotal role in curating a diverse range of live events, enriching the cultural landscape of Bradford.

Regarding his appointment, Darren said: “I am honoured to be appointed as the General Manager of Bradford Live. NEC Group’s hospitality arm, Amplify, will also host a variety of options to upgrade event experiences to include VIP seating areas and pre-show hospitality.

“The venue will boast the renaissance of the beautiful 1930s ballroom, which will become a 500-person capacity space for conferencing and banqueting, whilst the impressive double-height main auditorium will be reinstated as a 4000-capacity live events venue.
