Authorities are seeking the cooperation of potential witnesses after an incident involving a physical altercation among males occurred on Savile Park Street, Halifax, last night.
Several reports were submitted to the police around 9:40 pm, with some mentioning the possible discharge of a firearm.
As the investigation progresses, law enforcement has cordoned off the vicinity to gather accurate details about the event.
To aid in the inquiry, four adult males have been apprehended in relation to the incident.
Inspector James Graham of Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Detectives are in the process of piecing together the events that led to last night’s disorder and we have stepped up our patrols in the area.
“It’s understandable that people are concerned as this kind of behaviour is simply unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
“I would urge people to come forward with information about what happened to help us with our enquiries.”
