Bradford Cathedral is delighted to announce the return of its popular free family activities for the summer holidays. This exciting program provides an excellent opportunity for families to engage in fun-filled and educational experiences together. The activities will take place at Bradford Cathedral on Tuesday, 25th July, with two free sessions available for families to participate in.

The morning session, scheduled from 10 am to 12 noon, has already reached maximum capacity due to overwhelming demand. However, the afternoon session, which will run from 1 pm to 3 pm, still has spaces available and guarantees an enjoyable time for all attendees.

The range of activities caters to different age groups, ensuring there is something for everyone. Younger children will have the chance to unleash their creativity through summer crafts and colouring exercises. For older children, engaging quizzes, informative sessions, colouring, sketching, and craft activities will be provided. Parents, grandparents, and carers are encouraged to join in the excitement and make lasting memories with their loved ones.

Maggie Myers, the Director of Education and Visitors at Bradford Cathedral, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming summer holiday activity sessions, stating, “We’re looking forward to welcoming children and their carers to the first of our summer holiday activity sessions.”

In addition to the craft activities, families can take part in family-friendly guided tours at 11 am and 2 pm. These tours offer a fantastic opportunity to explore the beautiful and historic Bradford Cathedral. Visitors will have the chance to immerse themselves in the cathedral’s rich heritage while enjoying a memorable experience with their loved ones.

Bradford Cathedral warmly invites families to explore the cathedral at their own pace throughout the day. Families can engage in Cathedral quizzes and trails, specially designed to keep children entertained and actively involved. Moreover, visitors can take advantage of the available refreshments to enhance their overall experience.

While walk-ins are welcome, the cathedral strongly advises booking in advance to secure a place at the next Family Activities event. It is crucial to note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the activities.
