Police officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are making a plea for help from the public following a tragic road traffic incident in Bradford yesterday evening.
The incident occurred just before 8 pm when a motorbike, travelling on Wakefield Road near the Dudley Hill roundabout, collided with street furniture. Tragically, there were two individuals on the motorbike at the time of the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The 18-year-old driver of the motorbike sustained severe head injuries and, despite efforts, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital shortly afterwards. The second rider, a 20-year-old male passenger, also suffered serious injuries from the collision.
According to the ongoing investigations, there was another vehicle, presumably a small blue car, travelling in the same direction that failed to stop after the collision. The occupants of this vehicle may hold valuable information that could aid the investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has knowledge about the second vehicle to come forward and assist with the case.
