Detectives from Calderdale CID are urging witnesses to come forward after two women were injured in separate assaults outside the Cedar Court Huddersfield Hotel. The incidents occurred on the evening of Saturday, July 1, after a fight broke out near the hotel.

During the first incident, which took place around 10:30 pm, a woman who was not involved in the altercation suffered a severe facial injury. She was approached by another female, knocked down, and viciously attacked. The assault resulted in life-changing injuries for the victim. A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of wounding in connection with this attack. She has since been released on police bail while further investigations are carried out.

In a separate incident nearby, a second victim was injured after being struck by a glass amidst the disorder. Both victims required medical treatment and were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

DC Rachael Hutchison, from Calderdale CID, stated that they are conducting a thorough investigation into both assaults and the broader disorder that occurred outside the Cedar Court Hotel.
